On a visit to Portofino, Italy, a search for a bicycle to rent brought this glimpse of bicycles (although they were not for rent). But these flowers were lovely!

Oh, I love this photo with its vibrant colour and the bicycle in the background. My Italian language profession once told me that the sun shines differently in Italy – the suns strengthens colours. I have thought of that often and come to believe that Vancouver’s moisture content in the air acts as a filter. We see colour differently, but just as beautifully – the joy of diversity.
